To show or not to show? - Dryrod - 03-03-2004 [unsure][#800000][size 2]How do you perfer to set your hook in a plastic worm? To expose the hook or just the tip of the point?[/size][/#800000] [signature] Re: [Dryrod] To show or not to show? - JapanRon - 03-03-2004 Hey there Dryrod, Aha ha! So you're starting to do the Word 'thing'! Very good! I prefer to embed mine clear through and as it is curved make sure the tip of it is still back in the soft rib or soft part. JapanRon [signature] Re: [Dryrod] To show or not to show? - DrownedDesertRat - 03-03-2004 I've never tried hiding the hook in the body. I've always had it exposed. But I hear that fish are more likely to bite if they don't see the hook. [signature] Re: [Dryrod] To show or not to show? - Bassmaster-ND - 03-03-2004 I skin hook mine. Just a little bit of the point is inbedded. [signature] Re: [Dryrod] To show or not to show? - cat_man - 03-03-2004 I always expose the hook. I've never hassled with trying to get it just below the surface of the plastic or anything like that. I believe it's very useful if you're trying to go weedless, but as far as if the fish are going to refuse it because the see the hook....I don't believe it. If they see it at all they'll probably think that it's just a piece of debris on it or a piece of entrail sticking out or something. Beside the fact that in anything but the most clear water they can't even see it that well anyway. [signature] Re: [cat_man] To show or not to show? - tubeN2 - 03-03-2004 I hook them both ways. Sometimes it is for weedless and others just for appearance as well as element. [signature] Re: [tubeN2] To show or not to show? - BrianID - 03-03-2004 I also hook them both ways. If I'm in an area that doesn't have very many snags I almost always leave the hook exposed. Real and plastic worms! As a matter of fact, I caught my biggest bass last year on a Texas Rigged Night Crawler.
