Jordanelle Kokes - jbob81 - 08-12-2019 Made a trip up to Jordanelle on Saturday (8/10/19) chasing the elusive Kokanee. We were on the water around 6:15am before things got real busy. It was my first time this season targeting Kokanee at Jordanelle so a lot of the morning was eaten up by prospecting areas that I had heard would be good. We finally settled on the area just east of the dam. We were able to land 5 Kokanee and lost 3 right at the boat. They were decent sized fish around 13-16 inches. They were mainly going after orange colors on the higher line around 30-35ft. If you can handle a bunch of rude surf boats weaving in and out of fishing boats it’s a good time. [/quote] Welcome to BFT and thanks for posting. You did 5 times (or perhaps 8 times) better than I did when I made my one attempt to catch the kokanee. Many moons ago, I lost 4 Rapalas attempting to troll, at Jordanelle, to four different recreation boaters, who zipped by my boat far too close.[mad] [signature] Re: [kentofnsl] Jordanelle Kokes - jbob81 - 08-12-2019 Just to clarify I’m not new to fishing for Kokanee this was just my first time fishing for them at Jordanelle.
