Good luck, hope you caught a nice Steelhead or two. [signature] Re: [wiperhunter2] Manistee or AuSable ? - lonehunter - 04-07-2019 Thank you , I actually had the chance to fish once last year . Jobs boomed in our area and I was on seven days from April through December . I hit Tippy Dam in Welston , Mi. , Manistee River . I didn't get the last parking spot , I had to make the last parking spot . It was shoulder to shoulder when I reached the river after going down Heart-attack hill , almost made it to my favorite drift spot but not quite where the fish would be . When you're wearing waders ya' just can't pee to mark your territory , LOL ! 5 hours later and half a dozen flies lost the herd thinned and I was one of them . My feet , frozen to the point it felt like I was walking on stumps . These are my parting shots , Skunked for the day . Glad you were able to make it out, sounds like combat fishing at it's best[ ![]() [signature] |
