[font "Arial"][#8b0000][size 3]Perch Symposium on Tap in South Haven[/size][/#8b0000][/font] [font "Arial"][#000000][size 2]South Haven, Mich. — Michigan Sea Grant, the DNR, and the Michigan Salmon & Steelheaders Association will hold a symposium on Lake Michigan perch beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Lake Michigan College, South Haven campus.
The event will provide a historical overview of the Lake Michigan perch fishery, an assessment of the current perch population, a discussion on recruitment, the impact of exotic species, an update on the perch fishery, modern fishing techniques, and more.
