new kokanee setups - liketrolling - 06-04-2018

I have been using a lot of glow fishing setups for kokanee this year

I made this stuff yesterday and I can never make the same thing twice

I have one glow dodger and a pink and white glow squid that has caught a lot of fish this year, not telling you how many.

the first attachment is in a room with light and no flash
the next is in a dark room after I charged them with a UV black light
maybe curt will tell you tomorrow if they work
the squid is a white but glows green if that does not work will put a glow pink on.

Because you are always experimenting or for some other reason?

they work I had 4 of them on using 5 poles today
I had 3 others with me today two of them had never fished for Kokanee
they had a hard time landing them at first but we all brought are 4 kokes home

some one found out where I was fishing a lot more boats there today
than the Sat you was with me.

Thanks Robert, for getting us on those Kokes yesterday, IMO any time you can catch 3 limits of them and be on the way back home by 10am that's a good day. Those glow setups were the hot ticket for sure. What time did you guys get off the water today?

Confused by your post., liketrolling. "We all brought our 4 kokes home". Is the limit at the berry 3 or 4 kokes?

Strawberry Reservoir, Wasatch County
•Limit 4 trout or kokanee salmon (a
combined total).
•No more than 2 may be cutthroat trout
under 15 inches, and no more than 1
may be a cutthroat trout over 22 inches.
•All cutthroat trout from 15 to 22 inches
must be immediately released.
•Trout and salmon may not be filleted,
and the heads or tails may not be
removed in the field or in transit.
•An angler may have only one daily limit
in possession at any time.
•Anglers are encouraged to voluntarily
release all cutthroat trout.
•Any trout with cutthroat characteristics
(not necessarily jaw slashing) is considered
to be a cutthroat trout. To learn
how to identify cutthroat trout in this
water, see the description of Bear Lake
cutthroat trout on page 50.)

The limit is 3 at the Gorge but everywhere else it's 4, one koke lake you can even take 12 home but in most years they are pretty small.
