Sturgeon Fishing Bycatch - Calicanuck - 09-08-2017
The Sturgeon bite is sometimes interrupted by some time occupying species. I like to think of them as the sturgeon bycatch. The unsung fish of the river. Various suckers, goldeye, mooneye and walleye. Some really big suckers out there!

Can't say I've really heard of goldeye or mooneye but when we catch suckers like that, we always keep them for bait. Cut up sucker works great for jigging for Lake trout[
