Deer Creek Weekend reports - MasterDaad - 05-31-2017
I hit Deer Creek with the tube both Saturday and Monday mornings -- EARLY! I was fishing by 5:30AM both days.
Popping for Bass was the #1 priority. I caught 10 Saturday and 12 Monday. I finished my run early Monday so I decided to quick troll (as quick as my Tube trolls) down Wallsburg for trout. I had one player join in to add to the total for Monday.
I was off the water both days before 9:30AM when the Power Squadron really starts dominating the lake.
So far all SMB. Haven't seen a Largie on the topwater yet.

With the lake up most of the large mouth will hang out in the brush and weeds instead of the rocks.
Have done well with buzz baits on the LMB.

Four were just shy of 14". Nothing larger than that. The rest were 10"-ish.
I did throw some topwater at the weeds but dice on the LMB. I always have better luck with LMB later into the summer and early fall for some reason.
