Family trip to Kona - bulldogslc - 01-30-2017
Hello,
Our family will be vacationing in Kona at the end of next month and I got the go ahead from the missus to bring my rod and reel. I was wondering if anyone has a favorite beach or pier they like to fish? Any tips on bait or what to expect? Any good spots to buy bait and tackle? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

We don't have much of a shoreline fishery here and few fish off of the pier. Try the harbor entrance. There's a tackle shop in the harbor but they really don't cater to small game shoreline anglers because there are so few of them.
