In a word, No, he is not bottom bouncing for cutts, try and put the Slow Death rig at the same depth you are seeing fish on the finder.

Gotcha! I guess my confusion was that the only way that I could find people using a slow death rig online was with a bottom bouncer. Thanks again for the response!
