I've never really understood why people are so against indicators... I get that some people say its not a "pure" way of nymphing but it's helps me land more fish so in all for it! I have tried nymphing without an indicator (Czech nymphing) and I find I don't notice the takes very well as I fish a stiffer rod so 90% of my fish are false hooked in the tail or gut and it just isn't as gratifying. The thingamibobber is my fav one I have found so far. I say do what helps you catch fish, after all isn't that why we do this?
