I heard that too but no one seems to know anything more about it. I think it may be a fish story. That would beat the State record, you would think you would hear more about it?

Thanks Pikeman. I really knowitall x zero but there is a story behind the name... let's just say it has to do with my x wife, enough said! Anyway, the fact that I have an x is the only reason I am able to fish a couple times a week. [Smile] I guess there is always a silver lining!
I have fished my entire life and caught some very nice fish but this one is the biggest. Until this summer the biggest was a 9 lb hybrid I caught at Henry's Lake. This summer I caught my first 10 pound fish, a Utah Lake catfish. Now this 12 pounder and it will be a hard one to top I'm sure! I'm obviously not a very skilled fisherman because it has taken literally hundreds of trips to be in the right place at the right time and luck into this one.
I am looking for a good taxidermist, do you have any suggestions?

That's a good question! I was resizing the picture on my mac with gimp (which I haven't used much) and must have done a little "art work". I wish I had been able to get some better pics. I actually was lucky to run into someone nice enough to take a picture for me with my camera phone at the gas station.

I know all about the "X" factor I have been there done that.[crazy] As far as the silver lining goes I hope you get blessed with a woman that supports you in your fishing hobbies. I was lucky enough to find one.[Image: bobwink.gif] As far as the catfish goes I seen it in a picture 38 pounds 43 inches long and still swimming in the creek. I understand that putting in the time and being in the right place at the right time is huge. Again Congratulations. Pikeman

A couple or more pics of his hawg! I was the crazy guy at the gas station heading fishing while you were finishing your fine trip on Deer Creek at 12:20am. I actually think your picture from your camera phone took better pictures than my Canon. I think the lighting made it a little screwy and I do not profess to be a photographer in the least. Still, AWSOME FISH MAN!

It treated us well for fish but not so well for ducks. I put up a report. As I mentioned there were so many people up there it was not so condusive to duck hunting but the fishing was excellent!

Nice walleye and awesome pics. That's a pretty one. I enjoyed reading your post about how much time you have put in and it finally paid off, that's what it's all about.
Do you mind if I send this picture to some friends of mine?

Nice fish for sure!
Check out Dan at Wilderness taxidermy in Syracuse. He is a walleye fisherman himself, does good work.
