Here is the address for an excellent free on-line video (thanks to Tube Dude) on what to look for in a casting net, how to maintain one, and how to cast a casting net. I purchased mine at Sportsman's. Not sure if mine is an 8 or 10 footer. I know that I am casting-net challenged, but even the smaller nets require special folding and putting in the mouth to cast them effectively. The video describes a method that one doesn't have to put it in your mouth, or one could use a clothespin, but I haven't tried those methods yet. I have to admit, putting a net in my mouth isn't my favorite thing to do.

Hey thanks Kent I went back over there and they have broken it down into different sections now. Makes it a breeze to watch. You can now pick and choose what you want to watch.
