Hey BC, The regular pet store will usually have them more expensive. 4.99 for 50 is not too bad of a price. Sports Challet has them in the 25 packs for 2.39. The stores that I am referring to the most is ones that sell only reptiles and exotic animals. That is where you get the best deals.
In alot of areas im CA, the waxworm seems to outfish the mealworm by far. I have had much better luck with the waxworm for bluegills. Better than nightcrawlers and mealworms combined.
Other areas up north have been better with just nightcrawlers.
What area do you live in?? Maybe I can find a reptile store somewhere nearby for you.

I will find one for you. I am sure that there are a few in China Town. Some of my friends have purchased reptiles there. I will ask them and report back to you. Keep an eye on this thread for the next couple of days.[
